Where the shadowy borders of Forest Glum leave off, the dense green Gning Nar jungle takes over. It is shaded by tall jungle trees, and full of creatures both peaceful and otherwise.

Retreating with his retainers and slave forces from a raid on Covenstead (well, it had been intended as a raid on Covenstead, though this time the City Lords had fought them off, the raiders had never even reached sight of the walls of the city!), as they rode along near where the jungle merged with Forest Glum, Lord Kallman happened to look up through a break in the trees. And saw, to his horror, what appeared to be a dragon flying northward! Woe indeed, unto Gning Nar, to suffer lamian attacks, the misrule of the City Clans, and now apparently, dragon attacks!
"Off the track, into the jungle!" he ordered, going for the hilt of his sword to be certain he was obeyed. Bare-chested and sweating in the sweltering heat, hot even today for one grown up in the jungle, his muscles tensed as he moved his own horse into jungle cover. Like his men, he looked warily for snakes, lizards, and the other things which hid on the jungle trees and in the undergrowth--no one liked to enter the unimproved jungle, but this was a time where it was far safer to observe without being observed....
