Worlde Arcane: Thapelel: The Gopago Rocks

The Gopago Rocks are an odd formation of rocky hills and mountains all clumped together in a strange formation. Deep within its depths are the various mines of the dwarves of Kat'ha, where what little metal Thapelel has to offer is mined.

Soaring peaks, shelted valleys, oddly formed caves and deep gorges are the main features of the Gopago Rocks. Various rough trails lead through some parts of the mountains, where parties of dwarves and their mules have travelled the same path repeatedly over the centuries, but there are no official roads and many of the mountains are impassable.

Massala had nodded at Bedrosian's remark and was turning to commune with the Ayrex, when he caught sight of the elder uman obviously reciting a spell.

The Hawkrider nearly panicked and considered launching himself behind the nearest shrub, then stood gawking as a violet and yellow streaked butterfly wafted from inside the mans mouth.

"I will never understand dirt walkers." Massala mused as he shook his head and set his mind to search out his Ayrex. "Halla Tonga. Halla Helax. Halla Segon. Halla Dromyda." His voice echoed across the skies in silent calling. His nose twitched as the butterfly landed briefly on it. Massala opened his eyes and stared accusingly at the old man, then went back to his calling.

OOC: Form Vally of the Grombork
IC:
The walk was tiering, late night as it was fatigue was finnaly reaching Wedif; That and all the experience he has been through was the last drop.

" Wait a second" Spoke Wedif to Sunset " We must rest, we ll continue within daylight, in the morning . The drobes are far away now, and there would be little chance they'll bugg us tonight... so I say we take a nap! "
Wedif looked for a good restin place, and found a perfect one, one that was hidden from simple eye sight. " There no drobes will notices us ! " he pointed out the sleeping place and started walking thourds that direction.

Sunset trudged along. He could feel the fatigue in his legs and bones but he was used to it! "I gotta hand it to ya, kid," he said to Wedif. "Yer a tough young bird! Yew get a bit emotional but I guess that's to be forgiven from an Elf. Anyway, I'm glad we're partners! Yew just wait til we get to Kat'Ha and get resupplied, or to Sumbura if we have to go that far. Then we'll be adventuring in style! And that Grombork better vacate the Rumple if he knows what's good for him! Then we'll just stroll on in, and collect all those gems! HAH!"

Once they reached Wedif's resting place, the big Uman sat by a rock, then leaned over and began to snore.

Night came and left as if it never was there, thought Wedif. Morning light shined his eyes open.
Wedif got up and looked around so he could get use to seeing again.
He streached around a bit and then after makeing sure they are all right, he went back to pack up his equipment and prepare for the this new day. " Sunset , the sun`s up! Are yew awake ?" The half-Uman asked the Uman.

New THAPELEL Map!

By Sunset The Big (Sunset)

Tuesday, April 12, 2005 - 4:21 pm GMT Edit | Link |

Sunset snorted and opened his eyes. "Wench! Bring ale! Huh? eh. wha."

He leapt to his feet, surprisingly lithe for his weight. "Where's them Drobes!? Didn't we stand a watch? Ahh! What a night." He gave Wedif a big grin.

Then Sunset stood with both hands cupped at his ears. "Shut up a minute!" he said. He turned his head left and right, he turned in a circle ... "Ah! That way! There's a stream." He pointed, then began stomping downhill and around a big outcropping of rock.

There was a stream, and Sunset washed his face and drank.

"I'm starved! Wedif! Have yew seen any game? I'll rock a boar or a hare, if we can find one."

In a few minutes Wedif was packed and readdy to go, "Hungry I am also, but what if we get something to eat at Kat'Ha ? We could not be too far away; beside catching and makeing our own food will take too much..." He sat down by a rock and drank some water " By the way, do yew have any Krowns ? I have no money with me..."

Sunset howled in laughter. "Kat'Ha's five days from here! If we can keep walking. But Gopago City is on the way ... almost ... and we can stop there. Meanwhile, I could go days without food. Look at this belly! Yew don't think I stay fat because I'm lazy? HAH! Gimme water and I'm good for two weeks. I COULD do that. But I don't like it. And yer a scrawny little thing. I'll have to get us some food. Build us a campfire! Let's have breakfast, then we'll march."

Sunset stomped out toward a nearby grove. He picked up several fist-sized rocks along the way. Before vanishing into the trees, he hollered to Wedif, "Watch out for them Drobes!"

Sunset returned with two fat hares. "Now look!" he said to Wedif with a grin. He held up the rabbits by their ears. "I'm fatter than these guys, but they are SLOW as well as fat! Two rocks, two throws, two breakfasts! Nice fire. Hey do yew know how to skin a rabbit? I'd kill fifteen Orcs for a mug of ale!"

(ooc) Welcome back :-) We should keep moving to Gopago City to join up with a couple others there. (But, breakfast first!)

Eating breakfast was a pleasure long aspected.

" Good rabbits yew brought there! " Wedif complimetad Sunset. " Well it`s about time we get moving; the sooner we do that the sooner we`ll get some ale or wine " We smiled and got up.

" Yew lead the way ! "

After a breakfast of hot roasted rabbit, Sunset splashed his face in the stream. "Now I'm ready for a nap. But yer right! We ought to get moving. Another long march-day!"

Without another word, Sunset heaved himself to his feet and began stomping eastward.*

*OOC -- OK, due to some differences between the 3(!!!) maps of Thapelel, it turns out now that we are west of Gopago City. On the current map, we are in the "Rumple" area, a huge valley ringed by mountains. If we head east we will hit Gopago City and then Kat'Ha. Before, we had said south, but that's not accurate anymore.

(I think so, yes, thank yew!)

Sunset looked around. It was middle-evening, mid-winter, cold even for Thapelel. Crisp blue stars twinkled overhead.

Open sky! Freedom!

It seemed like a week he had been in the jail ... in fact it had only been a day. He had nothing except his pants and his shoes and the hingepin (from the jail door) in his pocket.

He looked around for Wedif and Delvec. "Hah hey, boys, where are yew? Let's leg some distance from this city!"

Looking back at the portal in the wall -- Sunset could not see it clearly in the night -- what was it? who was that Eavesdropper? -- Sunset thought, I'll have to thank her somehow. Someday.

By Delvec (Blaze)

Saturday, December 17, 2005 - 3:44 am GMT Edit | Link |

Delvec rolled onto the hard rocky surface only to have small snowflakes fall on his cheeks. Grunting he stood up and walked over to Sunset. "I dunno where we will be headed, we could go and stop at Kat'Ha, or we may go up to Oakwood. I have no plans. I am just merely following yew." He looked over at Sunset and Wedif.

He slowly walked ahead of the two and folded his arms to try and keep warm.

Looking back at the Sunset and Wedif he said, "We might want move a while away from here and get some shut eye. Then we could fully begin a miraculous journey." He half smiled at them as they began their new journey...

Sunset stopped and waved his arms. "Kat'ha! Are yew crazy? No we can't go to Kat'ha! We're fugitives! Gopago City and Kat'ha have commerce -- that means communications, including warrants and bounties! No no no, yew go to Kat'ha if yew like ... not me!"

Sunset looked around. He was getting very cold. Marching would help. "We can head straight north. There's lots of abandoned mines around here, where we can hide out for the night, make a fire without smoke or flames visible. Then tomorrow we can begin the march to Santon. That's where I started this whole Thapelel adventure, anyway. We can get what we need there ... not as high-quality tools or beasts or wagons ... but good enough for the Grom--"

He stopped. He had almost blown the secret again.

"Let's put at least a few miles between us & the city ... then we can find a hidey-hole."

OOC: Winter of course... I forgot about that. This changes the situation a little bit. Is there a lot of snow; or only a little? How cold should it be exactly? ... on one hand we're near a desert, on the other we're on some hills. Oops... Too many questions... well I need to know how my char would react to the enjoinment.

IC Hungry and cold. That's what the elven boy was felling while he made out of the warmer house of the eavesdropper.

He was felling weak from both cold and starvation. Wedif trembling lightly. Fire elves are not made for coldness, and half-fire-elves were fallowing the same principal.

"Santon it is then! We'd need to hunt for food though and stay close to a stream. We've brought no supplies from the city." Said Wedif

OOC: we should wait up for Q. also! The old gnome might want to go with us.

By Sunset The Big (Sunset)

(I would say no snow; it's a desert! But we could have some if yew want it. I kinda thought Q would remain at her post, but of course she is more than welcome! Delvec yew with us?)

"Blasted Gnomes!" snarled Sunset. "They really ruined our supply mission! We were lucky to get out alive! I hope that Xiao fellow survives. He seemed nice."

Sunset looked around. "Alright, boys - before the Guards come out and chase us through the night ... let's get lost from them!"

He added, "Gnome miners put a red post in front of their mines to warn that it's active and guarded by armed men ... and then when it taps out they paint the post black. So we're looking for a black post! There will be a mine entrance near it. Keep open a sharp eye!"

With a quick glance at the stars, Sunset began marching north, swinging his arms to try to keep warm.

The elf walked through the desert his hand resting on his sword hilt, sun. All he was wearing was his red vest and pitch black baggy pants. His bright green eyes glanced around as his hair hung infront of his face.

Stryx blinked some and held his hand up to his friend next to him to halt him, his elven ears had picked up people talking and he did not want to take a chance that they could be walking into a soldier camp from the city. Stryx whispered slowly to Stry "Follow me, I want to check this out to make sure we are not going to fall into some trouble." Slowly he drew his sword, sun and ran towards the talking his feet not making a sound.

Sharpfang was walking next to the elf when he raised his hand and smirked some but did halt where he was. The Lin sniffed the air and wrinkled his nose smelling something up ahead.

Sharpfang listened to the elf and smiled some thinking that they be able to play with some guards or something close. Quickly the lin unsheathed both of his longswords and ,duel weilding them, ran after the elf making as much noise as the elf.

Delvec followed next to Sunset agreeing with his decision about their low supply. He kept folding his arms and pulled them tighter to keep warmer. He kept his gaze down at the rocky surface and kicked a few rocks.

"I've managed to find a couple of those mines while on my little adveture around here. And if things haven't changed we should be nearing one across that hill." He pointed to a large rocky hill that stood tall, but not too tall, but tall enough for yew can't see whats over it.

He remained walking until his ears propped up and his energy began to boost. Taking a breath he hissed, "I sense something, hold yer swords close."

He grabbed the hilt of his sword and unsheathed it and looked with his fire red eyes around the surroundings.

OOC: Didn't Delvec gave a weapon to Sunset also back in the guardhouse ? (sorry.. memory misplaced)

OOC: Is it the same Stryx? Yer profile seams different... Should Wedif see a familiar face ?

IC: Wedif fallowed the two shortly, trying to worm himself by rubbing his hands together. His clothes were not suited for this time of year; but somehow he managed to survive so far.

The half-elf paid little attention to what his companions were talking as he climbed the rocky hills, in search for what ever they were searching.

But when the necromancer hissed and mentioned danger he too froze and tried listening. I cant hear any thing he whispered. But then again he was neither mage nor drou and it might be for that reason Devlec was aware of something. Matters not the reason, Wedif was for the second time thankful they had a dark wizzard with them.

OOC: What happened to old gnome lady Q. I remained with the thought that she'll somehow come along with the group. It could be just the player been real-worlde busy.

OOC: yup its the same elf wedif and sorry i was gone for so long, was in the marines over in iraq but it is nice to see yew and sunset again

IC: Stryx came to a small hill and layed on his stomach and slowly looked over the hill his red elven eyes catching sight of the three together. He smirked as he noticed the outline of a sword and smiled some before he looked over to sharpfang and whispered "Lets see who these people are shall we?" and with that Stryx stood up and muttered a few words causing a small fireball to form at the tip of his sword as he spoke, his face was still hidden from complete view.

"If I were yew I would lower that sword for I do not think yew would be able to when in a sword duel against us." the elf smirked as he waited for the party to either comply with his words or to try and fight him and sharpfang.

Sharpfang came up to the small hill and layed down next to Stryx and watched the group but his eyes were not as keen as the elf but he could smell the blade from here and growled alittle. His deep tan eyes then glanced at the elf as he spoke then nodded his agreement to him.

Sharpfang watched the elf stand up and speak then he smiled and also stood himself , he was almost a foot taller than the elf and he was alot stockier than the elf as well. If the party looked over at them all they would see of the Linite was his outline for he was still standing in the shadows but at the end of Stryx's speach he answered it with a loud roar that could be heard for miles around. At the same time he swung his swords quickly sending a 'sweeshing' sound towards them as if the add to it. Sharpfang waited just behind the elf to see what this small group of travelers would do.

Sunset grinned and ran toward his friend to give him a huge bear hug.

"I see yew two have met before, and..." he then noticed another figure. "I see yew three are friends?"

Puzzeled he walked over to Wedif. "Then I assume yew have met them too?"

He sighed until he heard something not too far away from the old gnome's house come out. His eyes widened until he frowned. "No, not the old gnome..."

Wedif was sure there would be a battle, and at first he even thought the gnomes had cached up with them. But Sunset's reaction cooled him down a bit Stryx? Is that yew?" He couldn't believe his eyes. But elven eyes never lie ;(well half-elven might).

Their party split up from Stryx in the Vally of the Grombork, it was there that Sunset and Wedif found themselves alone. How did the elf escape the grombork? Where had he gone?

The half elf was begging to have doubts about Stryx's goodness: "Was this a trick to take what's ours? Perhaps he knows about the m.. No it's not possible I've told no one!" He thought.

And only after those thoughts did Wedif saw the taller Uman near Stryx. Who is that with him?

"Come Down Stryx, It's us Sunset and Wedif"

Again doubts filled his heart as he whispered to Sunset “Why is he acting like a brigand?"

When Delvec came near him and asked if Wedif knew Stryx as well the young half-elf nodded and said “Our paths have crossed and our blades fought side by side once”

Wedif never noticed Quurmz's coming back; until she would be yammering something.

Stryx stood there like an idiot as he stared at sunset running towards him. Laughing lightly stryx spoke "Sunset yew better not give me a hug, yew probably would bruse my ribs." Stryx glanced back at sharpfang and nodded towards the small group "They are the friends I was telling yew about a while back."

Slowly the elf started towards the group as he dismissed his fireball and sheathed his sword. He stopped about 10ft away from the group and looked towards wedif as he spoke "Hello wedif, I hope yew are doing well and yer friends as well." he smiled lightly and then glanced around muttering a few words about the winter "And what are yew doing so improperly dressed for weather like this?" Stryx didnt really have any room to talk for he was wearing just a vest but Wedif looked to be in worst shape than he did.

Stryx muttered another few things about cold weather before he glanced at wedif again and spoke "I do hope yew are not mad at me for disappearing wedif, I really do." the elf stood there looking at wedif, for when they fought side by side Stryx thought of wedif as a little brother.

Sharpfang rose a brow at stryx as the elf spoke and said that the small group was his friends. The linite just shook his head and quickly sheathed both of his swords and walked down the hill slowly. He was 7ft tall dressed in a dark blue breast plate and a dark blue kilt. He had a large body but it was all muscle which sometimes seemed to scare the more weak of heart.

Sharpfang didnt get at close to the group as stryx did but he still stayed close enough to make sure stryx was not going to get hurt. After he was assure of that his eyes looked at each person but didnt say a thing to none of them.

((OOC: From Gopago City - Qruumz's House.))

"Yes, yes the old gnome!" Qruumz barked from a distance towards the Drow - clearly enjoying his misery at her appearance. She was old indeed, but her hearing was still superb.

It was not difficult for Qruumz to locate the trio, for they have made only a short distance from the city walls. She leaped upon the rocks with an agility surprising for her age, and reached the group in a matter of minutes.

Her eyes, however, were not as good as her ears - and only now did she notice that the trio was not alone anymore. There were another one... another two with them.

"Note the ingratitude of this Drow," she said to the two that she did not know. "I am responsible for saving his life, as well as those two. Although History is yet to decide whether She wishes to condemn me for such an act. As for yew two - I did not know yew are part of the deal when I saved them. So History can have no claims against me on that matter. And if She would - trust Qruumz to make Her shut Her mouth at that very moment! History may be an older hag than myself, but that still does not mean I should have any respect for Her."

She now drew even nearer and saw the tall one more clearly.

"By the Ground and the Rocks! What are yew?"

Delvec merely nodded to Wedif and then looked over at the huge linite and the elf. He scanned the two for a moment but then stopped.

"Well we might want to be getting off, these two are welcome to join us. All I want to do is get rid of this-" he ended and then saw the gnome jump up to them and start to inturupt what he was saying.

He sighed as a soft moan came from him. Rubbing his neck he didn't want to talk to the gnome, but if she had to come, it would be better than staying in the old cell.

He then started to walk away until she asked the lin who he was. Turning around, he said, "Out of all the journeys yew traveled yew have no clue what that is? It's called a Linite. There lion like critters." He took a short glance at the beast.

He then closed his eyes and sighed again. "And my name is Delvec, not Drow."

He then twirled around and continued walking.

Sunset was grinning like a fool at the reunion, and had no concerns that Stryx had brought a Linite.

Flapping his arms and slapping himself, he said to the group, "Alright I'm freezing! Can we continue our pleasant chat in some SHELTER? Find a black post! There must be hundreds of them out here to mark the depleted mines. Let's get out of the night wind! Come on ... this way everybody!"

He began to march north again.

Pausing by Qruumz, he said to her, "Yew have helped innocent men escape misjustice! In the rolls of my memory I owe yew much. Yew have forever Sunset The Big as an ally! Meanwhile go home! Yew need not nanny us out here away from yer warm hearth."

IC: All of the sudden they where six of them, 3 of which were wanted by the gnomes in the nearby region. The odds where not so good, but it could have been worse... they could have never meet up with Stryx and his companion.

On Sunset's advice, he started looking with the group for a shelter. Meanwhile wondering about the wired furry creature Stryx brought with him.

"Delvec, Drow, Dandelion, Daffodil - whatever," Qruumz muttered at Delvec, "although at least now yew showed a little bit of manners, so I am obliged to tell yew that my name is Qruumz. So, here yew go: My name is Qruumz. Yew would do good to yerself to learn some charm from yer big friend here," she flashed a horrific smile at Sunset, "who might just earn the privilege of having me wed him if he continues in such a manner. Thank yew, good man, but yew may be quite sure I am not here to nanny yew."

She then looked around, pausing one more moment at the Linite.

"Linite, eh? Well, I have heard about yew folk - naturally - but was quite sure that yew were all extinct in past generations. Of course, I am not as well journeyed as His Roayl Drowness here - who seems to travel not only through space but through time as well - so I never got a chance to see any of yer kin. Fascinating, fascinating..."

Only then did she notice the Fire-Elf looking for shelter, and heard Sunset's words. Immediately, the old gnome fell on the ground and pressed her ear on the bare rocks. She lay there, motionless, for several seconds and then rose up again.

"There are some empty mines to the northeast, about half an hour walk from here. If it is ale and fire yew are looking for - then the nearest occupied mine is a day and a half walk to the west. But there are gnomes there, so why would yew bother?"

Delvec hissed at the gnome called Quurmz, and looked at Sunset. "I'm not really in the mood for ale, not that I ever am, I say we try to find a empty mine."

Then Quurmz fell to the ground. "I hope she's dead,"he said under his mouth.

He scanned the mountains and tried to meet eye with a flag. "I don't see anything, even my eyesight can't notice anything."

Once Quurmz noted about the empty mine he looked to the others. "Although I mildly distrust her, it may be our only chance to find shelter." He looked at the linite and the fire elf. "Yew two may come, it would be better than freezing."

He noticed Wedif getting cold and said, "We should get moving. These two fire elves look cold." And with that he started moving northeast.

Stryx blinked some as he listened to everyone else speak but his eyes stayed on wedif. His only thought was "Did I lose trust and friendship with my little brother here?" but he didnt say anything out loud. Nodding some as they started to look for shelter the elf muttered a few things aobut being a fire elf at this very moment. Yes he was freezing beyond belief but he did not want to show weakness but as the minutes past the light in his eyes seemed to fade. "Alright I suppose the two of us could use the company and I want to know how Wedif and Sunset have stayed around this forsaken desert for so long." with that the elf started looking for a shelter as well.

OOC: Hey sorry for posting so late but im in the middle of moving and such so please if I dont post for a while again just kinda drag the elf along would ya please and if nothing else I ask wedif to play stryx since he is the one who has played with him forever.

OOC: Same here Im helping Stryx move and I kinda use his computer so I wont post for a bit either yew can just drag my cat behind with if yew want.

IC: Sharpfang smirked some at the gnome not really liking the little thing but he walked up near the drow and spoke in a little whisper where only the drow could hear him "I would eat that little rotten thing but I might just get a stomachach from it." again Sharpfang smirked but didnt say anything else he only looked around for a shelter, he wasnt cold but his friend ,Stryx and the rest might as well be so he dicided to help out.

"I second the idea of looking for an empty shelter; gnomes can not be trusted..." he paused looking at Qruumz "...no offence there milady."

He could not help stare for a few seconds at the Linite; never in his mother's stories has he ever heard of these beast-like Umans; for a second he tried picturing a wolvian, which he's heard of while in Daelows, so he might compare the two. Somehow Stryx's companion was different.

The half-elf opened his mouth once more: "Let's head for where milady said there'll be a mine. We've better chance then waiting here to freeze to death" In his complain might have forgot that not everybody here was fire blooded, and perhaps not all companions were that cold; Stryx for one seamed ok with it.

"Well Stryx, Sunset and I have been thought a lot! And I'm happy to see yew back. But what happened to yew all these days? I thought yew dead or on yer way to a better life."

"I heard yew, Two-Legged-Lion!" barked the sharp-eared Eavesdropper, "and believe me - it would more than stomachache that yer digestion of myself would bring yew. Much more."

She abruptly turned to Wedif and flashed another yellow-green-toothed smile: "But yew are a nice one. My my, I see a competition drawing near between the Raash'ky and the Big-One regarding which one of yew should I wed. I hope it would get violent."

Qruumz took several brisk steps forwards, towards the northeast, and only then remembered to turn back to face the group:

"So - are we going or aren't we?"

Delvec grinned at the gnome's marriage talk. He jumped up in front of the gnome and out on the rocky floor. He sniffed the air and grunted a long grunt.
"There is something here. I sense it. Eavesdropper! Do yew hear anything!"

He slowly stepped one foot. "It is weak here. It won't be able to hold many. Only a few. It would brake if Sunset or the Lin even touched it. We would need someone nimble, quick, and clever."

He turned to Wedif. Then Quurmz. "Yew two. Yew are the fastest, nimblest, quickest, and so on. Yew two get over first. Then find out a way to get us over. I don't want to take any chances." He looked over at the taller elf.

He waited in response for Quurmz and Wedif.

Wednesday, January 18, 2006 - 7:47 pm GMT Edit | Link |

The thought of marring the old gnome woman sounded absurd to Wedif, but even so he could not hold back the smallest of blushes. It didn't come out of passion, love or whatever makes young lads and lasses smile, it came from his memories of Daelows. He's been a squire of that great Uman kingdom and he is to be a knight upon his return to the kingdom. Or at least that will be his claim...

Will Daelows forsake him or will he be accepted after this year and a half long "vacation"? It seamed oddly uncomfortable for his moral whenever thoughts of home popped out; and lately they were coming faster then before. He wanted so much to return to Aniada, after all his been through...

Looking down to where Delvec said the weak ground was, Wedif noticed a big crack on the earth. This came as wired at first but then Wedif remembered that the Gopago surroundings are full of active and abandon mines and tunnels.

He faced Devlec again and said “Well... I guess I am the light weighted one. Lady Quurmz should stay back with the rest; she's an old woman and she might break a bone or something. I'll go!"

He then carefully tried to walk by the crack, avoiding making any wrong move and step in the center. Not crossing a quarter of it Wedif looked back to see what the others are thinking.

“I can do this!” Wedif said, sure of himself after trying out the road ahead.

OOC: Sorry for such a long time to respond... I'll try to do better :-)

"Who's an old woman?" Qruumz roared. "And whom are yew calling Quurmz? It's Qruumz! Q-R-U-U-M-Z! As in Schluumtz! The popular Gnomish beverage! And I shall not break any bone what-so-ever, yew haughty and very-unweddable-as-for-this-moment Fire-Elf!!!"

And in order to prove her point, the old Gnome quickly ran over to Wedif's direction and was about to jump on his back - when a cracking sound was heard beneath them.

By Delvec (Blaze)

Sunday, January 22, 2006 - 5:29 pm GMT Edit | Link |

Delvec whispered to the lin. "I guess the marriage is going to Sunset." He watched the two nimble people move across the ground cracked. He closed his eyes and grunted. He looked towards Wedif and the old gnome.

"Hurry get off!" His eyes glowed and he thrust out his hands and a shock came from them and hit the ground, making it steady.

"I can't hold it for that long! Run! Everyone! Trust me I can get myself across." He grunted and waited for everyone to run across. He spat out blue blood and waited.

(Sorry for such a short post)

Saturday, January 28, 2006 - 8:44 pm GMT Edit | Link |

IC:Wedif frowned at the old gnome's stubbornness, but he had no time for an reply, as the ground beneath them was about to give in. For a second he stared at Delvec thinking "Captain Crowe should of hired a drow; perhaps he wouldn't have died, perhaps nor Evelen nor the little girl... what was her name"

Wedif turned from the drau and looked at the Eavesdroper. The half-elf would start running as long as Qruumz ran beside him. But if by one reason or an other she would want to stand there, Wedif would try, for her's and Delvec's sake to grab her to safety; And Wedif clearly understood that in case of such event he could get hurt more for trying to grab the woman then from a potential fall in the beneath.

OOC: Because everything is happening in a few seconds, I gave several possibilities of what wedif would do according to the actions of others... I hope this is alright. It's exploiting the moment :-)

And Delvec no worry about short posts, I've done even shorter!

Turning around as quickly as Wedif, Qruumz made a quick dash back to where the rest of the companions stood - not without muttering, "I do not need yer help, yew Demented, Developmentally-Delayed Drow..."

As she arrived back to safety, she gave Delvec one sharp, accusatory glance - as if it was all his fault - and said: "This is all very strange. The land in this area was very stable for a very long while. I know. I was Eavesdropping on these rocks since the moment I left the Caverns. This is all very strange indeed."

OOC: That's sad :-( That makes Wedif the only character who was with the story from it's beginning ... and is still around.

We've lots of fun indeed; but I know how hard it can be sometimes to find some spare time. And yew are the most person squeezed of time that I know...

Perhaps someday in the futures yew'll return to playing sunset. And cheer up, things will work themselves out.

Sunday, February 5, 2006 - 5:37 pm GMT Edit | Link |

OOC: Alright now! It's about time the remaining people resumed posting! So if there is nobody that wants to do anything with the character Sunset (as he gave us permission in such a case) I propose we exit the character as the rules say.

As for Stryx and Stry, did anybody receive any word from them? It's been...(Checks) 1 month exactly. I think they had enough time to finish moving and I suspect them of Missing in Action. But it's best to keep them around a week more just to be sure that we're not wrong. After which we should exit them like we’ll do Sunset and perhaps they’ll return someday as Stryx had (even if was for a short period) and as Sunset hopes and promises.

So that leaves us to: Delvec, Qruumz, and Wedif up till now; right? If yew are all in agreement with what I've said above, we can continue.

IC: Wedif hurried fallowing Qruumz back to safety. He looked at Delvec and said, very much concerned by the drau's health: Yer not ok! Yew need to rest or something. Yer using to much yer magick, it affects yer health. He tried to explain in hope that the drau would take it easy with his necromantic abilities.

Saturday, February 11, 2006 - 9:31 pm GMT Edit | Link |

OOC: Delvec yew should really get yer emal working again! I've tried to send yew a few mails but it's not working. We feared yew had gone also. I fell that Stryx and Stry should have sent a life sign by now. It’s been more then a month I think, so I say we go with the rules and exit from the scene Sunset, Stryx and Stry. Of course any of them are more then welcomed to come back, if they'll find the time.

I suggested by mail to Qruumz (again, I could not reach yew) that the remaining characters could fall into the mine, which walls Delvec is trying to keep together, while the rest would not. A gnome search military party chasing us three criminals (Delvec, Sunset and Wedif) would be closing in on the group. The ones left on the surface can do nothing to help the ones that fell in the tunnel (us active ones). Thus Sunset, Stryx and Stry would run for their safety and disappear from the story thread (for now perhaps). We three left can continue on in the tunnel.

If it is ok with yew too, I say we get the story running. What do yew say Delvec?

And YES I know there have been a lot of OOCs here... sorry.

Qruumz looked at the Drow suspiciously. He indeed did not look right - obviously it took a lot of his efforts to save them. Perhaps she should be grateful?

The old Gnome had little time to ponder on the issue, for the cracking sound resumed from beneath.

"Something here is very wrong, I tell yew. There should be no UUUUUURGH!"

With these words, the earth cracked wide open under the Gnome's feet and she fell down... down...

Mabel too looks around. Krista was right. With no money they could hire horse, buy food or anything. Perhaps if they did head back to Sumbura the innkeeper there would let them earn some money or they might be able to hitch a ride on a boat to Tanyel's Cause. One good thing would be they could let Darzen know how his kin is doing.

Mabel looks at Krista "Well Sumbura it is. I have no idea where Tanyels Cause is and yew maybe right about the babe. Are we going by water? I'll hold yer clothes if we are." she smiles as she speaks the last part.

The cracking sound cought Wedif's half-elven ear, quicker then it did the old gnome eat. Turning his head he sow the chrack extending rapidly, so he tryed to escape it, but he had no chance. With the corner of his eye he sow Qruumz fall with him, while his frightened face was facing Delvec. Bits of earth began to cover him whilest falling, dust blinding him. And then there was nothing but darkness.
