|
The Assassin's Code |
Assassination is a serious business.
As such, the Assassins of this guild adhere
to a strict code of conduct.
Guild Assassins who violate this code
are marked for DEATH.
- Assassination is a trade, like any other business.
- We are professionals, and
we ply our trade in a professional manner. We kill only
for hire, for payment of the required fee. If an Assassin
develops a personal grudge, he hires another Assassin
to take care of the matter.
- Therefore, the guild works
from a murder-for-hire list. Guild members deviating
from this list may be open to sanctions.
- Guild assassinations must be
verifiable
- Therefore all assassinations
are performed with methods that yield a death in public
view.
- Guildmembers are answerable
to no one but the Guild, but may find themselves subject
to the persecutions of those unfamiliar with or unfriendly
to the guild. If an assassin is actually sloppy enough
to be 'caught' in the act of assassination, the Guild
may disavow any knowledge of his/her actions.
- Assassination is efficient and
effective.
- To maximize efficiency, and
give credit where credit is due, all contracts are registered
with the guild.
- While targets must die, this
does not preclude the assassin from having a little
fun. However, be ever mindful that efficiency must be
maintained for the reputation of the Guild inefficient
and ineffective Assassins cannot be tolerated.
- Guild Assassins usually work
alone, but will generally do whatever they can to assist
and protect one another.
- Only one guild member may
take credit for an assassination and be paid for the
deed. Guildmembers do not compete for a target, except
in Guild sanctioned contests.
- "Guild Friendly"
establishments and members of the community familiar
with guild policy will assist a Guild Assassin in any
way they can.
- On particularly "high-profile"
murders, the guild may intervene and provide assistance
on the Assassin's behalf.
Guild
Assassin's adhere to all the rules of Worlde Arcane.
Becoming an assassin does not give one license to disrupt the
game for others. Questions may be directed to Meko.
