League of Pirates
To become a member of League of Pirates you need simply write to The Harbor Master (Click Here) and request membership in this organization. You will then receive your initiation rites, after which it is simply a matter of adhereing to the code as you sail the waters of Worlde Arcane. Any member of League of Pirates found not adhering to the articles of eight will be expelled from the league.
THE CODE OF LEAGUE OF PIRATES
Article One
- Every man shall share in the captured goods; the captain shall have one full share and a half in all prizes. The Master, Carpenter, Boatswain, and Quartermaster shall have one share and quarter.
Article Two
- If any man shall offer to run away, or keep any secret from the League, he shall be marroon'd with one bottle of Water and one small blade.
Article Three
- If any Man shall steal any thing from the League, his or her shipmates, to the value of a piece of Eight, he shall be Marroon'd or killed.
Article Four
- That man that shall strike another, whilst these articles are in force, shall receive Moses's Law (40 Stripes lacking one) on the bare Back.
Article Five
- That Man that shall smoke tobacco in the hold, or carry a candle lighted without shroud, shall suffer the same Punishment as in the former Article.
Article Six
- If any man shall lose a joint in time of Engagement he shall be resigned from service to the League at the next convenient port.
Article Seven
- That Man that shall offer quarter or mercy without consent or direction of the League shall be cut off from his Share, and suffer such other Punishment as the Captain and League shall think fit.
Article Eight
- If at any time you meet with a prudent Woman, that Man that offers to meddle with her, without her Consent, shall suffer Death.
